On August 31, SnapSwap presented Digital Onboarding at the #PitchDay in Mexico. The pitching session was organized by BBVA Bancomer and 23 selected startups from 8 different countries presented their solution during this pitching session. SnapSwap is one of the startups selected by the jury composed of the members of the Management Committee of BBVA Bancomer, led by its vice-president and General Director, Eduardo Osuna. SnapSwap will set up a pilot project with Mexico’s leading bank in the coming months.
SnapSwap takes part in TechStars program in Paris, starting on September 11. TechStars is a US-based venture capital firm and one of the best accelerator programs in the world with an impressive track record of more than 1000 accelerated companies that have raised over $4.8 billion in investments. SnapSwap is the first ever startup from Luxembourg selected among 755 applicants from 64 countries to participate in this 13-week program.
By joining this program, SnapSwap has access to TechStars ecosystem including corporate partners, founders, investors, and will receive hands-on guidance and support through mentoring and coaching sessions. The program is supported by a consortium of French corporate partners (Air Liquide, FDJ, Groupama, Renault Group, RCI bank services and Total) that are looking for new opportunities, partnerships and into the future of their own organizations.
This year, Techstars Paris has selected 10 startups as finalists and will focus on the categories of Artificial Intelligence, Data & Machine learning, Bots and Chatbots, B2C & B2B Apps and services, SaaS, Blockchain and Cybersecurity, IoT and Connected Hardware, Energy, Smart city and Transportation. Each startup will present its solution in front of VCs on the Demo Day planned on December 6.
SnapSwap is pitching its Digital Onboarding solution at “Walk-the-Plank” for Pirate Summit in Cologne on 6 September. Snapswap is one of the 80 startups selected to this pitch competition, and the only one from Luxembourg. This event is a great opportunity for the company to get more visibility and to meet potential investors and clients. The annual Pirate Summit conference is Europe’s largest conference for startups in the digital industry, investors and corporate executives. This year, the conference will welcome more than 1,200 visitors from more than 30 countries in Cologne on 6-7 September to interact with entrepreneurs, investors, start-ups and successful companies.
After having won the Open Talent Competition focused on identity sponsored by BBVA, SnapSwap is now selected as one of the 23 finalists of the Open Sandbox Program organized by BBVA Bancomer and has presented Digital Onboarding in front of top executives from the bank in Mexico City on August 31.
Open Sandbox is an open innovation program launched by BBVA Bancomer, one of Mexico's leading players in the private banking market. Through this program, the bank is seeking to rely on financial technologies to continue its transformation. The selected startups have presented their solution during a pitching session of 5 minutes followed by a Q&A to have the opportunity to develop a proof of concept in a record time for BBVA Bancomer.

For the second edition of the European Fintech Awards, more than 600 FinTech companies have been nominated and competed to be in the Top 100 of the best FinTech in Europe. The European FinTech Awards Top 100 is generated by combining public voting (25%) and experts’ assessment (75%).
After three months of selection processes, SnapSwap was chosen as one of the best promising European FinTech and is listed in the Top 100. It competed in the category “Risk, Intelligence & Security” among eight other categories such as “Challenger Bank”, “Alternative Finance”, “Blockchain”, “Financial Inclusion”, “Innovative Banking Software, “Payments and Transfers”, “PFM Robo Advisory” and “Insurtech”. The second and final round will be held on September 27 during the European FinTech Awards & Conference in Brussels. Snapswap is going to present Remote Automated Customers Onboarding at VivaTech 2017 in Paris on June 15th, the event that brings together startups and big companies to work around innovation and new technologies.

After two days of Hackathon, the jury composed of top management members from BGL BNP Paribas and externals gave SnapSwap the second prize at the local competition of International Hackathon, held in Luxembourg. During this event, SnapSwap built a personalized and customized mobile application for BGL BNP Paribas based on their own application programming interface (API), with the support of experts from compliance, mobile banking application and marketing departments, to allow fully automated account opening in less than six minutes, enhancing the user experience.
SnapSwap will enter the second stage of the competition by joining BGL BNP Paribas offices for a 10-week working phase from September 2017. Snapswap will have the opportunity to convert its work into a viable product and integrate it into the BNP Paribas environment. The solution will be presented in Paris during the Demo day, held on 1st of December, 2017. The finalist of the Demo Day will receive a prize and will have the chance to meet the top managers from BNP Paribas group.
SnapSwap will participate in the Hackathon International organized by the BNP Paribas group for the first time in Luxembourg, and will compete against 9 other startups. This international competition will take place simultaneously across 10 cities: Luxembourg, Paris, San Francisco, Brussels, Rome, Berlin, Istanbul, Warsaw, Singapore and Nanjing, from the 9th to 11th of June, 2017.
This event is gathering start-ups, collaborators and actors of the Innovation ecosystem, in order to create solutions for the bank’s clients in a limited time and to stimulate innovation from both side. The goal is to improve the customer experience in the sectors of banking and insurance. The startups will have to come up with additional services that the BNP Paribas group could offer to its clients, non-bank services included. They will present their solutions in front of a jury composed of top managers from the group in Luxembourg. The winner will receive a prize money, and secure a place in a 10 week coworking phase and have enhanced access to the BNP Paribas experts and mentors to help accelerate the solution that will be presented at the Demo Day in Paris, on December 1, 2017.
