Snapswap is going to present Remote Automated Customers Onboarding at VivaTech 2017 in Paris on June 15th, the event that brings together startups and big companies to work around innovation and new technologies.

This year, VivaTech will welcome 50,000 attendees from around the world including 5,000 startups, 1,000 investors, and 400 world-class speakers with names like Eric Schmidt, John Collison, Jeff Immelt and Daniel Zhang. This summer, VivaTech will cover up to 35 industries exposed to technological disruption. Experts will focus on tech’s role in the future of society and industry and on topics such as Human Ethics & AI, Real-world Applications for Blockchain, Gaming and the Creation of New Worlds, IoT and Cyber Security: Securing the Internet of Everything.

The pitch competition gathers 10 startups from the LuxFutureLab incubator, and will be held at BNP Paribas booth and will be open to the whole public, including potential investors and top managers from BNP Paribas, giving Snapswap a great opportunity to connect with key investors. SNAPSWAP WON SECOND PLACE AT INTERNATIONAL HACKATHON LUXEMBOURG 2017

After two days of Hackathon, the jury composed of top management members from BGL BNP Paribas and externals gave SnapSwap the second prize at the local competition of International Hackathon, held in Luxembourg. During this event, SnapSwap built a personalized and customized mobile application for BGL BNP Paribas based on their own application programming interface (API), with the support of experts from compliance, mobile banking application and marketing departments, to allow fully automated account opening in less than six minutes, enhancing the user experience.

SnapSwap will enter the second stage of the competition by joining BGL BNP Paribas offices for a 10-week working phase from September 2017. Snapswap will have the opportunity to convert its work into a viable product and integrate it into the BNP Paribas environment. The solution will be presented in Paris during the Demo day, held on 1st of December, 2017. The finalist of the Demo Day will receive a prize and will have the chance to meet the top managers from BNP Paribas group.

SNAPSWAP TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BNP PARIBAS GROUP HACKATHON INTERNATIONAL IN LUXEMBOURG

SnapSwap will participate in the Hackathon International organized by the BNP Paribas group for the first time in Luxembourg, and will compete against 9 other startups. This international competition will take place simultaneously across 10 cities: Luxembourg, Paris, San Francisco, Brussels, Rome, Berlin, Istanbul, Warsaw, Singapore and Nanjing, from the 9th to 11th of June, 2017.

This event is gathering start-ups, collaborators and actors of the Innovation ecosystem, in order to create solutions for the bank’s clients in a limited time and to stimulate innovation from both side. The goal is to improve the customer experience in the sectors of banking and insurance. The startups will have to come up with additional services that the BNP Paribas group could offer to its clients, non-bank services included. They will present their solutions in front of a jury composed of top managers from the group in Luxembourg. The winner will receive a prize money, and secure a place in a 10 week coworking phase and have enhanced access to the BNP Paribas experts and mentors to help accelerate the solution that will be presented at the Demo Day in Paris, on December 1, 2017.

This program represents an opportunity for SnapSwap to benefit from the BNP’s vast in-house know-how on anything from financial, IT and digital transformation. SnapSwap will customize its Remote Onboarding solution, that enables a client to open an online account in less than 6 minutes. The regional winner will compete with the other finalists from around the world to have the chance to integrate the implementation phase and to incorporate its solutions into the BNP Paribas environment.

LUXEMBOURG - May 18, 2017 - SnapSwap among 11 private companies and the State of Luxembourg incorporated the non-profit Infrachain a.s.b.l. dedicated to leapfrogging the adoption curve of blockchain solutions in a trusted and compliant-aware manner. Initially announced by the Prime Minister in November 2016 at the Luxembourg Internet Days as a coalition of willing distributed ledger innovators, the Infrachain initiative and its diverse members is now kicking it into high gear. The private entities are a mix of larger and smaller, technical and non-technical organizations that see the business opportunities arising from a technology that provides substantial efficiency while creating new legal and business model challenges. SNAPSWAP WON BBVA OPEN TALENT IDENTITY COMPETITION IN WASHINGTON

SnapSwap won the Open Talent Competition focused on identity, sponsored by the Madrid-based BBVA, which was held at the K(NO)W Identity Conference in Washington D.C. The conference provided a forum for identity experts across all industries to be at the nexus of ideas and policies that will fundamentally change identity around the world. Main topics of this year's event were biometrics, blockchain, identity access management, fraud prevention and identity verification.

The BBVA Open Talent Competition sought for innovative identity companies that would help BBVA achieve the goal of transforming the world of banking. SnapSwap prevailed against 9 other start-ups (chosen among of more than 200 participants) and won 30,000 euros. The judges all agreed that “SnapSwap is one of the most promising fintech startups in the world of identity". 

Furthermore, this victory includes an invitation to the Open Talent Global Summit and Immersion Week held in October at the BBVA Group headquarters in Madrid. In addition to time spent networking and collaborating with BBVA executives, a final winner who will be chosen out of seven key areas will win 50,000 euros.

Snapswap is one of the 10 finalists that have been selected to participate in the 9th edition of the BBVA Open Talent program, the biggest international FinTech competition for startups. The competition will be held on May 16th and 17th in the K(NO)W Identity Conferences in Washington D.C. The BBVA Open Talent Identity competition is centered around identity, and how technology can lead to huge improvements for customers and clients in everything from online safety and data protection to giving people access to banking and its services in the first place.

Snapswap will present its Remote Onboarding solution that allows the opening of a bank account remotely in less than 6 minutes to a general audience and a panel of BBVA executives. This BBVA jury will select the winner who will receive 30.000 EUR prize money, and will have the opportunity to participate in the Immersion Week in Madrid. Snapswap announces the appointment of Raymond Schadeck, former CEO of Ernst & Young in Luxembourg, to its Board of Directors. Advancing corporate management and acquiring domestic and international recognition with Raymond Schadeck joining the SnapSwap Board of Directors helps establish the company as a European leader in providing services such as remote onboarding, payment infrastructure and blockchain based issuing of electronic money instruments. Raymond Schadeck has 29 years of professional experience in consultancy and audit. Mr. Schadeck worked as CEO and CFO at Ernst & Young, where he came to from a partner and CEO position at Arthur Andersen.

Over the last 7 years Mr. Schadeck serves as an independent director on the boards of Banque Raiffeisen, Intesa San Paolo Group, LuxInnovation GIE and other private and public companies. Since 2015, Mr. Schadeck is an INSEAD and ILA  certified director and is the acting Chairman of the Board of the Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs (ILA) – Luxembourg Institute of Directors.

Snapswap has been selected among 160 applicants from 25 countries to participate in the third edition of “Pitch Your Startup” competition that will be held on May 9 at ICT Spring, the main event of the  ICT industry in Europe. This competition is organized by Docler Holding and LuxInnovation and will gather 17 start-ups that will pitch their business models, products and services to a jury of international experts.

Each startup will have 3 minutes and 33 seconds to pitch, then 2 minutes for questions and answers from the jury. The winner will receive a €50.000 prize, fully financed by Docler Holding, and will also have the opportunity to participate in the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2018 in Las Vegas, USA.
