SnapSwap is proud to announce that it has released an upgraded version of Snaprove™, its digital customer customer onboarding solution. Snaprove™ now uses multilayer biometrics in order to identify the customers, which will enable stronger and even more accurate identity verification.
The new facial analysis feature enables to analyze the characteristics of any face, i.e if the eyes are open, if the person smiles, etc. In addition, Snaprove™ gives an estimated age range of the person. The improved face comparison feature measures the probability that the person’s face corresponds to the ID’s face in real-time and calculates a coefficient of similarity.
The new update aims to streamline the customer onboarding process, to reduce customer-related risks and errors while ensuring a seamless and omnichannel user experience for customers.
SnapSwap has the honour to be invited by the Department for International Trade of the United Kingdom and the Royal Bank Natwest to the European FinTech Mission hosted in London from February 13 to 14. The event hosts companies from over 13 countries from inside and outside the European Union, invited to promote the FinTech industry and London as a world-leading hub for fintech.

As official partners, Accorhotels and one of the biggest startup acceleration programs, Techstars Paris, invited the public at AccorHotels’ headquarters for an exclusive pitch session. Only five startups from the Techstars Paris program were selected to pitch in front of the audience, and SnapSwap was one of them.
SnapSwap presented the digital onboarding solution Snaprove™ to more than 200 people who attended the event, including 150 collaborators of AccorHotels, and 50 other guests. This demo day allowed SnapSwap to share its experience, its vision, and to create new business connections and to discuss about further collaboration opportunities. AccorHotels Group was one of the six corporate partners of the Techstars Paris accelerator program in 2017. AccorHotels if a French multinational hotel group, and a worldwide leader in the hospitality sector, which operates in 95 countries. The French insurance group was one of the six Techstars program corporate partners, and SnapSwap’s mentor during the 13-week program. SnapSwap has the honor to collaborate with one of the leading insurance companies in France to develop an innovative program related to life insurance. After 13 weeks of intensive work, the ten startups selected to participate to Techstars Paris are finally pitching in front of more than 450 people, including 150 investors, the six corporate partners of the program (Air Liquide, FDJ, Groupama, Renault Group, RCI Bank and Services, Total and Accor Hotels), the tech community and journalists. The Demo Day is taking place in Paris, at Station F, the world’s biggest incubator.
For this edition, hundreds of startups from 64 countries applied to Techstars Paris, and only ten startups were selected. The startups are coming from California, Portugal, Armenia, Kenya, India, Luxembourg and France. During the first phase of the program, the startups took part in more than 200 meetings, workshops and mentoring sessions. These sessions enabled the startups to select their lead mentors and to work more closely with them during these past months. During the second phase, the startups participated to 12 workshops and worked with Techstars team to define their strategy, their financial model, develop their product and prepare their pitch for the Demo Day.
As part of its participation in the Techstars Paris accelerator program, SnapSwap was pleased to pitch in front of the subsidiaries specialists of the international insurance group Groupama. During the Groupama International Digital Forum, three startups from the program had the opportunity to present their solution in front of more than 30 collaborators from Groupama group. The group’s members came from 13 different countries from Europe, North Africa, and Asia. The entire day focused on networking, meetings and exchanges regarding the development of the startups.
Groupama is one of the five TechStars Paris corporate partners that accompany startups as “lead mentor” along the 13-week program. Groupama Group is one of the leading insurance company worldwide, with more than 32 600 collaborators, 13 millions of members and clients. The company is the first agricultural insurer in France, but also the first insurer for local communities and personal health.
SnapSwap attends Digital Insurance Agenda (DIA) on November 15th, one of the biggest conferences gathering Insurtech leaders and insurances. DIA is the first of its kind in the insurance industry, and coined the ‘must see’ event in insurtech and digital insurance innovation.

Last week, SnapSwap took part to Open BBVA Summit as the winner of the Open BBVA Talent Identity, and presented its customer onboarding solution to BBVA executives and experts. This event brings together startups, entrepreneurs and experts in innovation, to promote innovation and collaboration between the banking sector and FinTech companies. The Open Summit hosted the grand Finale of Open BBVA Talent, a worldwide competition organized by the Spanish-based bank that combines five contests in one. This competition seeks for innovative companies that would help BBVA achieve the goal of transforming the world of banking. For the 9th edition, it has attracted more than 980 applications from 73 countries.
On the second stage of its journey with BBVA, SnapSwap participates in an immersion week at the bank’s headquarters in Madrid. For seven days, the entrepreneurs will discuss their projects with BBVA experts from IT, compliance, new digital businesses and the group representing different countries divisions and participate in a series of fintech events designed especially for them. The selected startups will work with BBVA senior executives to find business opportunities and synergies to deploy their technologies and capabilities into the organization and reach new target markets. Indeed, BBVA is present in more than 30 countries and has a broad portfolio of more than 71 millions customers in the world.
